I have been to several spas but never a turkish bath and this was really a great visit. I will review in detail as i didn't quite know what to expect or bring so here is the rundown. The spa takes bookings thru Facebook or phone. You are the only bookings and patrons for the time selected which is really nice and private. You are given water and a cold towel on arriving and introduced to your 2 ( in our case) attendants, then taken to a lovely change area. They supply paper shorts- one size should fit all- to wear and a large wrap towel. 1st stop for us was 10 minutes in an aroma therapy steam sauna. Marble walled and beautifully lit. 2nd was the soap and exfoliation. Moroccan black soap and a turkish exfoliating glove. Women have the option of keeping your towel on but i didn't. How can you get a good wash with a towel on? The male attendants were VERY professional and i felt totally comfortable throughout my topless experience. You sit with the soap on for a while and then they rinse you. 3rd is up onto the heated marble table for the bubble wash and massage. They use these unique "bubble filled pillows" that they put on you and apply some pressure along your body. then they release the bubbles. Wow!! next they distribute and rub the soap in with a massage like technique. I actually thought this was the massage part but it wasn't. Rinsing is next and then onto the tea room for some lounging, tea and cookies. A clay face mask is next and finally the massage to end your appointment. afterwards you can shower -cause they use a lot of oil for the massage-and back to change. We weren't rushed at all thru our 2 hour appointment and it was so relaxing- the music, the lighting, the aromatherapy were perfect. the 2 attendants were so professional and attentive. This is a must do in Puerto Vallarta.
